Rohde & Schwarz Unveils RF Test Solutions at CETEX 2024

Rohde & Schwarz is gearing up to present its state-of-the-art RF test solutions at the first-ever Consumer Electronics Test & Development Forum and Expo (CETEX) in Amsterdam, taking place on October 9-10, 2024. This event serves as a crucial gathering for test and development engineers eager to discover the latest innovations in consumer electronics testing.

During CETEX, Rohde & Schwarz will highlight its extensive range of test and measurement (T&M) solutions, specifically designed to address the evolving challenges in the consumer electronics sector. These solutions are essential for improving electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) compliance, speeding up digital protocol debugging, and enhancing product energy efficiency. The company's specialists will be available to interact with attendees and demonstrate technologies that tackle these vital areas.

The development of consumer electronics requires rigorous testing of numerous components, whether during the initial development phase, datasheet preparation, or product certification. Rohde & Schwarz provides solutions that span a wide array of applications, including EMC/EMI, energy efficiency, connectivity, and electrical circuitry tests. CETEX attendees will have the chance to experience these T&M instruments firsthand, specifically tailored for consumer electronics engineers.

Key T&M Solutions to be Showcased

One of the main attractions at CETEX will be the next-generation R&S®MXO 5 and R&S®MXO 5C series oscilloscopes. These devices are engineered for superior time and frequency measurements, offering unparalleled versatility for consumer electronics testing. With features such as the industry's fastest acquisition rate and highest precision, these oscilloscopes facilitate efficient debugging of designs, especially in power and signal integrity measurements.

Rohde & Schwarz will also emphasize power conversion and consumption measurements. The MXO 5 series is adept at handling complex inverter design challenges, providing a direct view of all relevant signal details. For battery-operated devices, the company will introduce a two-quadrant source measure unit, perfect for simulating real-world battery characteristics in IoT equipment.

EMC pre-compliance and in-house testing solutions will be another key focus. To ensure products meet EMC standards, Rohde & Schwarz offers integrated solutions for EMI debugging and testing. The R&S®RTO6 oscilloscope and R&S®EPL1000 EMI test receiver will be featured, showcasing their capabilities in enhancing product design processes.

Advanced Component and Connectivity Testing

Component testing will be spotlighted through the R&S®LCX LCR meters, which provide customized impedance measurement functions up to 10 MHz. These meters, along with the MFIA impedance analyzer from Zurich Instruments AG, deliver comprehensive impedance analysis for a variety of components.

In the field of wireless connectivity, Rohde & Schwarz will present its solutions for Bluetooth® testing. The CMW platform offers a fully automated test solution for Bluetooth® Low Energy and Classic, including LE audio measurements. The R&S®CMW270 wireless connectivity tester, approved by the Bluetooth® SIG, will be on display, supporting a broad range of signaling tests for integrated wireless communications.

Attendees can visit Rohde & Schwarz at booth #207 in Elicium Hall 13 at the RAI in Amsterdam. Additionally, the company will contribute to the forum's program with a presentation on advanced test and measurement techniques for addressing emerging challenges in consumer electronics.
